Examination date for B.Sc. Nursing /B.Sc. Paramedical /B.Sc. Technology Courses2023

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination has decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test for admission to the above courses tentatively on 11-06-2023.

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and the Rules and Regulations thereunder, the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, as amended by the J&K Re-organization Act, 2019, and the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Rules, 2005, as amended by S.O. 69 dated February 28, 2020, S.O. 127 dated April 20, 2020, S.O. 249 dated July 23, 2021, and S.O. 277 dated August 13, 2021.

Important Information:

  1. Last date for filling the online application forms: 03-05-2023 (Midnight).
  2. Fee of Rs. 1000/ (Rupees one thousand only) to be paid online through National
    Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
  3. The e-Information Brochure can be downloaded from the BOPEE website viz
    www.jkbopee.gov.in
  4. The syllabus for the examination/test is available in the e-Brochure.
  5. Date of Common Entrance Test: (to be notified separately).
  6. The candidates, in their own interest, are advised to go through the Information
    Brochure before filling up the Online Application Form. The Board shall not be
    responsible for any act of omission or commission in filling up of the Online
    Application Form by the candidate(s).
  7. The candidates are further advised to remain in touch with the BOPEE website
    www.jkbopee.gov.in.
  8. The Entrance Examination, if any, conducted by the Board shall be offline.

Submission of Online Application Forms:

The candidates are required to upload the following scanned original /
self-attested certificates in PDF format with size from 100-200 KB along with the
Application Form: –
(i) domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates of
UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh
shall be treated as Domicile Certificate),
(ii) Qualifying marks (12th Class) certificate; (where result is declared),
(iii) Date of Birth Certificate (only Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board);
and
(iv) Valid Reserved category certificate, if any,
(v) Any other documents, as requested.
However, it is for the information of all the concerned that afore-titled documents as
required for submission of application form shall be considered provisional and subject to
change(s), if any, as may be notified by the Government subsequently.

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Programme must fulfill the
following eligibility criteria;
A candidate must:
(i) be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates
belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent Authority of
Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate)
(ii) be 17 years old on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
(iii) have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have
obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken
together and passed in English individually including the candidates from State

Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open
School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and
English only.
(iv) For the candidates belonging to reserved categories, the marks obtained in 3
core subjects shall be 40% instead of 45% for General category candidates.
(v) The candidate must be medically fit.
Further the candidates appearing/appeared in 10+2 (12th Class) examination 2023 can
also apply, provided such candidates have qualified the examination at the time of
declaration of the result of the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as
may be notified by the Board.

A:Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing Programme: B. Eligibility for B.Sc. Para-Medical Courses:

The candidates applying for admission to B.Sc. Para-Medical Courses must fulfill the
following eligibility criteria;
A candidate must:
(i) be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be (For Candidates
belonging to UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by Competent authority of
Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile certificate);
(ii) be at least 17 years old on 31
st December-2023;
(iii) have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English
through a recognized Board / University securing minimum 50% marks and
above for Open Merit Candidates and 40 % marks and above for candidates
belonging to Reserved Categories in aggregate;


Further, the candidates appearing/appeared in 10+2 (12th Class) examination; 2023
can also apply, provided such candidates have qualified the examination at the time of
declaration of the result of the Entrance Test or before the date of counseling/admission as
may be notified by the Board;
The candidates applying for Lateral Entry only must have obtained diploma in
concerned stream and having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and diploma
registered with J&K Para-Medical Council.

C. Eligibility for B.Sc. Technology Courses in SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar:

A candidate must meet the following requirements:

a. be a resident of the UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh, as applicable;

b. be at least 17 years old on December 31, 2023;

c. have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (PCB) and English through a recognised board or university, securing at least 50% of the possible points for Open Merit Candidates and at least 40% of the possible points for candidates in other categories.

Additionally, candidates who will be taking or will have taken the 10+2 (12th Class) examination in 2023 are eligible to apply as long as they passed the test at the time the Entrance Test results were released or earlier.

Candidates applying for the courses under (A), (B), and (C) above are urged to review the Common Entrance Test syllabus, which is referenced in the e-information brochure for the B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology Courses on the BOPEE website at www.jkbopee.gov.in.

Eligibility Required

Note – I
The eligibility is minimal or provisional and is subject to any adjustments or benchmarks set by the relevant Competent Authority or University. Upon receiving any such message from the relevant government or university, the Board shall notify the same, which shall regulate the eligibility requirements.

Documents Required

Original documents must be provided to the institution at the time of admission in the following formats: – Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate from a recognised institution;

a) Marks certificate of the qualifying examinations (12th class marks certificate);

b) Date of birth

c) The Domicile Certificate for candidates from the UT of J&K, and the ST Certificate as a Domicile for candidates from the UT of Ladakh;

d) The Category Certificate, if applicable; and

e) Any further documentation that the institution may request.

Roll No Slip/Admit Card:

The Notification for downloading of online electronic Admit Cards will be issued
separately.Roll No Slip/Admit Card: A separate notification will be given for downloading electronic admit cards online.
Examination Location: The Common Entrance Examination, if any, will be held offline in Jammu and Srinagar centres concurrently, as determined by the Board.
Release of Admit Cards and Test Date (if Test is Conducted): Information regarding the Online Admit Card Release, Test Location, and Test Time will be released separately in due course.

Venue for Conduct of Examination:

The Common Entrance Examination, if any, shall be conducted offline at Jammu /
Srinagar centre simultaneously as may be decided by the Board.The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination has decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test for admission to the above courses tentatively on 11-06-2023.

Issuance of Admit Cards and Date of Test (if test is conducted):


Information with regard to availability of Online Admit Cards, Venue and Time of
the Common Entrance Test will be issued separately in due course of time.
