Change in School Timing across Kashmir From Monday
August 10, Srinagar : New school hours for both government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division have been announced by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), and they will take effect on Monday, August 12.

Schools inside Srinagar Municipal Limits are required to follow the most recent directive from the Director of School Education Kashmir, a copy of which is kept with the Kashmir Bulletin (KB). Schools outside of Srinagar District’s municipal limits and in other parts of Kashmir Province are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The order kindly replaces all earlier instructions on school schedules. Authorities have stressed that the revised schedule must be properly adhered to by all institutions involved. Any disregard for the directive will be handled seriously and might lead to the necessary consequences.
