JKBOSE National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme 2024 (NMMSS)
Extended Deadline:
The deadline for applying to the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) scholarship test has been extended by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to February 15, 2024. Previously, November 9, 2023, was the deadline.
The purpose of this scholarship programme is to give financial aid to deserving eighth-grade students at government, government-aided, and local body schools who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Who is Eligible to apply for NMMSS
- In Jammu and Kashmir, eighth-grade students attend local body, Government-aided, and Government schools.
- Students whose parents make little more than Rs. 3,50,000 a year from all sources.
- Pupils who received at least 55% (or 50% for SC/ST students) in their class 7 exam.
How to apply for NMMSS
- Application forms are available for download on JKBOSE’s official website.
- By February 15, 2024, the filled-out application form and all other paperwork should be delivered to the relevant Chief Education Officer (CEO).
Benefits of NMMSS scholarship
- Selected pupils will be awarded an annual scholarship of Rs. 6,000.
- The scholarship will be extended year until the 12th grade, provided that the student maintains a sufficient GPA.
